June 5, 1943 – February 18, 2013
Betty passed away suddenly on February 18, 2013. She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Annie Choy and brothers Terry and Raymond Choy. She is lovingly remembered by sisters Rita McCartney and Mona Jatkowski; nieces Mikki Pelletier and Christine Lee; and grand-nephews Ryan, Charles and Anthony Lee.
Betty worked for many years at Goodwill Enterprises on Yates Street until it’s closure and will be remembered by customers for her bubbly and outgoing nature. Betty’s greatest gift to her family was her complete and unconditional love and her favorite place was anywhere with her family. She enjoyed the simple joys of life such as spending time with family and friends, and her faith, being a member of the local Chinese Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature and will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.
A service officiated by Pastor Gwendolin Lam will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 2:30 pm, at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets.
