Brad had three children of whom he was immensely proud. Laurie (Dom) of Toronto, Gregory of New York City and Lake Rosseau and James of Victoria, BC. He married his most amazing wife, Jane Coe of Worthing, UK, in Toronto, on January 23, 1975, and just missed celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary.
Brad received his BA from the University of Toronto, and a Diploma in Business Administration, from the University of Western Ontario, Graduate Business School. Brad was a Partner with Deloitte & Touche Management Consultants in Toronto & Vancouver prior to relocating to Victoria; Principal/Partner, with Hickling Johnston Management Consultants in Toronto; President and VP Merchandising in the residential and commercial floor covering industry; and a Group Product Manager with a major international consumer products company. Brad consulted with The Executive Network Inc. for over 20 years specializing in the areas of executive search and relocation, compensation and organizational reviews. He enjoyed working in consulting till age 89!
Brad was actively involved in volunteering with the UVIC MBA Program. Previous volunteering included a United Way directorship, development of a building trades apprenticeship program for a community college, executive roles in a national, and a provincial trade association, and Chair of the Field Sales Management program for a university extension program.
He was a long-standing member of the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club and the Uplands Golf Club.
Brad died of natural causes at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on December 21, 2024. He was very grateful for the services of the palliative care team and the Island Health home care program which allowed him to stay at home as long as possible.
He received wonderful care from the medical services with especial thanks to Dr. John Coburn.
He will be remembered for his love of family and friends and his great sense of humour. Will be missed and forever loved.
