August 1, 1929 – October 28, 2012.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband and father. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mafalda and his three children whom he cherished deeply, Tano (Maureen), Nick (Marilena), and Robertina (Paulo) and his cherished grand children Pauluzzo, Joshua, Mariah and Nicholas. If the measure of a man’s success is the love of family and friends, Carmen was successful beyond all measure. The family would like to thank the 6th floor nurses and doctors at VGH for their attentive and kind care to Carmen and his family during his last days.
A viewing will be held at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson and Vancouver Streets. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 4048 Gordon Head Road, on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11 am. A private family entombment will follow at Royal Oak Mausoleum.

Frank and Colomba Vennare My sincere condolences to zia Mafalda and cousins Tano, Nicola and Robertina. It is very hard losing a loved one, it does not matter how old they were. Uncle Carmine will always be with you in spirit everywhere you go. When we moved from Prince Rupert, Zio Carmine was 40 years old. That’s how I remember him… as a young 40 year old, full of life and excitement. I remember he always used to make me laugh! He had a great sense of humour. He will be missed. May he find eternal rest and happiness in God’s heavenly embrace.

My thoughts and prayer are with you in this terrible time in your lives. I love each and everyone of you. Zio Carmen is not suffering anymore.
