Carolyn Claire Rochon (nee Pogson) peacefully passed away Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 in Qualicum Beach surrounded by family. She was born August 19, 1946 in Victoria. Predeceased by her parents, Roy Pogson in 2008, and Ruby Pogson in 2000; Carolyn is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, Christopher, and her children Michelle (Kevin) Andersen, Michael (Cheryl) and Mark (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen and Grace Andersen, Jason, Brandon, Charlyn and Michaela Rochon and Jared and Ethan Rochon. She is also survived by her brother Jim (Joan) and sister Judy (Kerry) and their families. Carolyn and Chris married in Victoria in 1966. Their life journey took them over much of British Columbia and Alberta. In 2006, Carolyn and Chris moved back to Vancouver Island, where they enjoyed the milder climate and the ocean. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held at McCall’s Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Leverton officiating. A reception will follow at Sequoia Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wheels for Wellness, 1894 Bolt Avenue, Comox, B.C., V9M 2J4.
