Dear Ivano, Maurizio, Massimo and family,
We just heard the sad news yesterday and we are so sorry for your loss. She was always so sweet over the years when we chatted at the deli and later at Macchiato. I loved being pregnant (ten years ago!) and going into the deli as Caterina always asked after the baby during the pregnancy and continued to do so every time I saw her after that. She was a lovely woman and she is reflected in you all. Take care,

    Kelly, Jeff and Angus McLaren

Dear Ivano, and Maurizio Massimo and all of your family, Brenda & I were at Macchiato on Thursday and learned of Caterina’s passing. Our day was saddened tremendously by the news but certainly not as saddened as your days have been. We will miss her, her smile and her warmth when we visit the cafe and the deli and we will always cherish her memory. Please accept our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy and know that all of you you are in our thoughts.

Dear Ivano, Maurizio, Massimo & families. My heart is heavy & I am saddened by the loss of your cara moglie, mamma e nonna. “Cathy” was always so gracious and wonderful as I picked up delicious food (appreciated by my Italian husband, Sal & our children) or a latte. We chatted about our families & we exchanged frequent hugs for decades, the last time just before Christmas at Macchiato. Everywhere I saw your family I felt warmly welcomed, a reflection of her legacy and spirit. Please stay strong and take good care. I will see you again soon at Macchiato for my morning latte and a hug.

    Salina Ruffolo
