1921 – 2013
Peacefully on March 3, 2013 in Victoria, in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his brother Jim, he is survived by Vera, his loving wife of 69 years; his daughter, Shirley Roberts (Gordon Young); son, Stuart (Doris); son-in-law, Gerald Roberts (Joyce Barnes); two grandsons, Duane and Travis Roberts; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kord and Maxine; 3 great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mildred, Susan and Jean; brother, Ed; sister-in-law Mary and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Dad served in the RCEME Corps during the Second World War and thereafter until leaving the Service in 1964. Friends may pay their respects at McCall’s Downtown on Thursday, March 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at MCCALL’S DOWNTOWN, Johnson and Vancouver Streets, on Friday, March 8th at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Don Johnson will officiate and interment will follow in the Royal Oak Burial Park. Refreshments will be served in Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive, after the interment. Condolences may be offered below.
