It is with heavy and sad hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Charni Klear, peacefully at her home. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Lakha Ram and Chinti Mahmi and by her husband, Chaman Lal Klear. She is survived by her daughters, Darshi (Nigel) and Krishna and sons, Darshan (Lori), Krishan (Patricia) and Balraj (Marie). She will be dearly missed by her beloved grandchildren, of whom she was so proud, Rani, Jordan, Jasmine, Haley and Tej. She is survived by her loving sister, Swarni (Manga) Lagah and her family with whom she had a very special relationship.
Mom came to Canada in 1956 with her husband from the Punjab, India to join her parents in Victoria. She raised five children and lovingly cared for her five grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
A special thank you to Dr. Peter Meyer and Jennifer Nelson for their caring and loving support over the years.
Mom (Maji), we all love and respect you. Thank you for everything. Until we meet again.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 21, 2017 followed by Prayers and lunch at the Akali Sikh Temple, 2721 Graham Street.
