Born and raised in Gander, NL, Christopher moved to Victoria in 1994. Despite physical and mental challenges, he was able to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. He participated in the Special Olympics Swim Program and Thai Chi. He also enjoyed playing Crib and going out to a movie. He had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his mother, Catherine and sister-in-law, Jane. He leaves to mourn, father Calvin; sisters Heather (Larry), Pam (Colin); brothers Derek (Christine), Jeff (Brenda) and several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the medical and nursing staff involved in his care, especially Drs. John Antonsen, Wei Song, Mary Connolly and Margaret Badger, RN and also, the staff at the Wascana Group Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Luke’s Anglican Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Island Health Residential Care Facility or the BC Kidney Foundation.

I knew Chris from growing up in Gander, NL and he was such a joy to be around. We shared the same school bus stop and he had a story every morning to share with all of us. He was a gentle soul and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Ive thought of him often over the years, wondering what became of one of my childhood friends. Chris was great,never seen him anything but happy. You’ll be missed Chris.
