Danh Phung passed away peacefully on Monday night, May 30, 2011. He was surrounded by family and close friends until his last breath. Danh Phung was a Navigator for the South Vietnamese Navy in his youth. His naval skills and experience allowed him to not only bring his family but many others safely to the refugee camps in Thailand and eventually to their final destination in Canada. For this, his family is eternally grateful. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, his four children and five grandsons. He was a founder and devoted Buddhist of the Van Hanh Temple. Besides the love of his family, his faith largely defined him as well. He will forever be missed, loved and remembered as a loving, doting and tireless father and husband, as he was in life. Most of all, he was and is a hero and inspiration to his family and friends. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
