WILLIAMS, Daniel Stewart (aka Danny, Monkey, SuperBanker)
Born February 12th, 1973, in New Westminster, B.C., Dan was taken from us suddenly, but peacefully on November 24th, 2009 in Boyle, Alberta. Beloved son of Daryl & Barbara Williams (nee: McCall); dearest brother of Craig (Katalin) and adored Uncle to Benjamin & Mia. He also leaves behind his loving and devoted fiancée, and soulmate, Michelle Galenzoski, and her family, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless people Dan referred to as friends and cousins across North America.
Dan had many passions for which he will be remembered. After family, which was always first for Dan, fishing, golfing, and hunting were always on the top of his list. He would often be found trolling the waters off Sooke and Oak Bay searching for the elusive Tyee, spending time with his “second” family at Uplands Golf Course where he honed his handicap to a “3.9”, or spending endless hours hunting with his dear cousin Scott Adams, and great friends Cameron Naqvi and Neil Tickell, amongst others.
In his professional life, Dan was a very respected and successful member of the BMO Mortgage Specialist Team, a career that he enjoyed immensely. As a result of the friendships he shared, his absence weighs heavily on the team. He was an incredible colleague and friend, and will be missed deeply.
Dan was never happier than when he was spending time with his love Michelle and his dog Tucker, away on his boat “Banker’s Hours”.
Visitation will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Wednesday and Thursday, December 2nd & 3rd, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held to honour Dan and celebrate his life at St. Aidan’s United Church, 3703 St. Aidan’s Street on Friday, December 4th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Burial entrusted to Royal Oak Burial Park. Reception to follow at Uplands Golf Course from 1 to 4 p.m. If so desired, donations in Dan’s memory may be made to the Uplands Heart Fund, 3300 Cadboro Bay Road, Victoria, B.C. V8R 5K5.

One of the saddest moments is when you hear of the loss of a friend. Dan is someone that many counted as a friend – he will be greatly missed. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.
Dear Michelle, Barb and Daryl, Craig and Kati, Dave and Debbie and all other members of this tightly-knit family.
There are no words to describe the utter grief that we are feeling right now on the untimely death of Dan and we cannot possibly imagine the shock and sorrow that has been thrust onto your family.
The measure of a life well-lived is through the lives they touched. Dan touched us all. We hope you find peace and comfort in knowing that your loss is felt by all who knew and loved Dan.
Hugs from Linda and Bob
I am so sorry to hear about Dan. My family has such fond memories about growing up together as neighbours in Nanaimo, becoming good friends and playing tricks on each other all the time. We will miss Dan, and cannot imagine the sadness that you must feel. On behalf of my family, I send our love and want you to know that we are thinking of you all at this sad time. Cheryl, Robert, Kenneth, Ann-Marie and Ken Hewer.

My deepest sympathies to Michelle and the rest of Dan’s family. I only knew you for a short time but considered you a mentor and a friend. I will always remember your smile and the times we spent together at the Safeway branch of BMO. Rest in Peace.

We are so sad about Dan’s passing. We loved him so much. Whenever I saw him he would greet me with a huge smile and a hug. I remember when he and Jeremy went up to Duncan to bring back Cali, the dog that ended up being my constant companion for 13 years. Words cannot express how bad I feel for all of you. Please know that we are constantly thinking of you at this time.
