Daniel peacefully passed away in Victoria, BC on December 31, 2015. He was born in Victoria on March 22, 1954. He was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Muriel, sister, Dana; brother, Michael and three sisters-in-law, Patricia, Carroll and Maureen. Daniel is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Paine.
Lovingly remembered by ex-wife Margie Dunsmore (MMM); siblings, Mara, Mark, Sandra, Robert (Lynn), David (Diane), Nicola (Richard), Stephen, Paul; seventeen nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews whose birthdays he knew.
Daniel loyally served his country from 1976-1995. He was a man who gave any person a chance to be his friend. He was a man who would help anyone in need. Dan, a man of strong moral fibre and conviction, saw worth in almost everything.
Prayers will be offered in McCall’s Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 4, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, 851 Old Esquimalt Road, at Noon on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 with Father Stephen Paine officiating. Reception to follow at Tim Horton’s on Esquimalt Road at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epilepsy Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Its been a long long time since we have crossed paths. It had to be a passing by of Danny and you have my deepest condolences. I remember well of chopping up the wood piles out back on Fraser street before Bob and family could come out and play. Hope all the families are well and again so sorry to hear of a great loss.
