David will be sorely missed by his father, Don (Bette, Jake, Kent) and his mother, Shar (Ambian) and extended crazy mixed-up families. He was born in Victoria and educated at GNS and Claremont and pursued professional careers in Vancouver, Ottawa and Los Angeles.
“We hope that you have now found the peace that you were seeking.”
Private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cool-Aid Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.

I was very sad to learn of David’s passing. I attended school with David, and have such nice memories of him and his kind gentle nature. Please accept my sincere condolences, and know that he very much touched the lives of his friends and colleagues.
I know it’s been a long time Shar, and even longer, Don, but I was so saddened to hear of David’s passing. I still remember him as a young boy, giggling away at silly things … and remembering how much you loved your son. My thoughts are with you and everyone who’s lives he touched. He still looked like the younger David I remember in his photo, cute as a button. Hugs, Jackie (the other half of Cathie)
Dear Don and Shar,
We were so shocked and saddened to read about the untimely passing of David. We all have such fond memories of him and the fun times with the rowdy gang at GNS. Such a fine young man with so much personality, vibrancy and potential in his life. The loss is immeasurable, and our thoughts are with you now. Please accept our sincerest condolences.
We’ll always remember David.

Don, Bette and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dear Uncle Don and Betty:
I am so glad that David had such a warm, happy place to call home. We will always remember our sweet, brown-eyed younger cousin. He was, and is, very well loved.

Beatty Family,
I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with David in Ottawa a few years ago and I always enjoyed our talks before the work day started as we both took busses to get there and would arrive early. I have happy memories of him and I’m glad that he crossed my path.
Please accept my condolences – my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Although I did not know him as an adult – I remember what a sweet young boy he was. His angelic smile and curly blonde hair…. My heart goes out to all that will feel the void that his passing will undoubtledly cause.
How quickly David became part of my family. He had a quiet way of finding his way into my heart and became one of “the boys”. Our family is forever changed. Love the photo you chose – that was a wonderful, happy day and the way I will remember him.
