Dear Margaret,
My sincere condolences to you and your family on your loss. David was a gentle ‘man of Faith’ and always very kind to me whenever we met, usually at the Saturday evening vigil Mass. May our dear Lord grant David eternal rest.
I want to express my condolence to your loss. Dr. Evans was an excellent and influencing psychologist and we learned a lot from his excellent academic works.
I wish you the strength to bear this substantial sorrow.
Deepest condolences to Dr. Margaret Hearn and all your family on the passing of Dr. Evans. He was a very nice and gentle person! I’m sorry for your loss. He was a true influential leader of the profession of Psychology for many years and leaves a great legacy in the field.
I was an usher with David at St. Andrew’s Cathedral for several years. David was a very fine gentleman. Sincere condolences to Margaret and the family. R.I.P David.
Deepest condolences to Margaret, and family. Your loss extends to the whole Psychology community for his many contributions, along with those of Margaret. David was an integral part of my training and early psychology career at UWO and in practice, as my Supervisor for my registration as a psychologist in Ontario. He set the standard for being a contributor to the profession for all to aspire to, but few have achieved. May his memory be a blessing.
With deep gratitude and appreciation for knowing David as a mentor, colleague and friend, along with Margaret,

Dearest Margaret, Jacqueline and Bart, and family,
We were so sorry to hear about the passing of your much loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. Nick and I heard about Dave’s passing on Tuesday, February 16th. We then spent the rest of the day remembering experiences we shared with Dave. Nick told me how important Dave was in Western’s Clinical Psychology Program. Nick also told me how wonderful Dave was to all his graduate students, always giving them the time and academic guidance they needed to complete their degrees. Students who had him as their thesis Supervisor were indeed very fortunate.
Then Nick and I shared memories we had of how you Marg and Dave were there for us during
special times, like our wedding, and the birth of our baby Heather. We appreciated all the wonderful things you did for us and the fun times we spent with you at your home or cottage. Thank you for being a very important part of our lives. We remember both of you with great fondness, appreciation, and best wishes.
We have lost a truly, truly nice man . May God give him every blessing in heaven.
So very sorry to just learn about Dr. Evans’ death. To those of us in the psychology world, he was a star whose name was always associated with the guiding -The law, Standards of Practice, and Ethics in the Practice of Psychology, and with his numerous fine publications. David’s leadership in the profession, and his research on the “quality of life and health promotion” are needed now more then ever. With sympathy to his family, and to the many who were enriched by him over time and place. Ester Cole
Saddened to see David’s obituary this morning and offer prayers of gratitude for him, his example of fidelity, and for Margaret and the whole family. Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him O Lord!

Dear Margaret and Family,
I just wanted to offer my deepest condolences regarding the passing of David. Many, many years ago, I worked with Dave on many articles regarding legislation affecting psychology which were then published in the OPA newsletter. I remember David being a patient and kind mentor for me in this regard, and he was such a highly respected psychologist and academic. Marg – I hope you are OK in this very difficult time. You will always stand out to me as an unrivaled, wonderful and kind leader. Thinking of you through this time. Take good care. xo
