It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David at Victoria Hospice. David was born on March 24th 1942 in Reigate, County of Surrey, Great Britain. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Thomas Clark.
Dave retired from DND in 2002 where he was an experienced painter and worked for many years as a sign painter for Neon Products, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Dave’s boisterous voice and sense of humor could light up a room in an instant. He was a hard working family man who always put family first. In all situations, Dave was always willing to help and support his friends and family no matter how big or how small.
Dave is survived by his wife, Marie; his sons, Jason (Sarah) and Sean (Lia); his sisters, Susan, Lorna and Maureen (Dan); his two sister in laws, Bernice (George) and Marion, also survived by his four grandchildren whom he adored with all his heart, Sean, Gage, Quintin and Haylee. Dave will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Our family would like to extend our greatest thanks and appreciation to Dr. T. Tresoor, the doctors at the Cancer Clinic and all the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospice.
A service will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 10 am in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC with a reception to follow at his son’s home at 127 Lowland Road. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the BC Cancer Clinic or Victoria Hospice in Dave’s honor
Dave’s laughter and legacy will continue on in our hearts forever.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Tracy Tresoor IT was my pleasure and honour to be Mr Clarks doctor for the past year and a half. I have come to know Marie and Dave over those months and always looked forward to our chats about family, gardening, the latest project he was working on and of course medical problems, Dave met every challenge with humour and tolerated whatever came his way. “Dr Marie” was always on top of questions, concerns and problems as well. I will always treasure their generous gifts of peppers and tomatoes and cucumbers, supplied at ever visit throughout the summer months. I will miss his easy going nature and look forward to more visits with Marie. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Chris Colwell Hello,
Very sad to hear about Dave’s passing. Maureen I went to school with you and remember your brother fondly. He was an amazing artist and not only did he paint signs but during the days of pin striping cars would do some great artwork on his buddie’s cars. I ran into him when I worked for National Defence where he was a painter. His smile and positive attitude will always be remembered. I don’t think there are any words that will take the void away.

Brian Luxton I am very sorry to hear about Dave’s passing. My sincere condolence to you and your family. We always had a good chat at our yearly get together for lunch with the rest of the guys.
I am thinking of all of the family and friends as they gather today for a memorial service for Dave. I am very sorry for your loss.I send my heartfelt condolences, especially to: Marie, Sean, Lia, Jason, and Sarah and hope that the gathering of loved ones today brings comfort and a refreshment of memories from the stories that are shared. I especially treasure the memory of witnessing Dave’s joy and celebration of family at the wedding of Lia and Sean in 2010. I am not able to be at the service today but I send my love.
