Born in London, England on January 29th, 1917. Died in Victoria, British Columbia on August 25th, 2012. She was much loved and will be sadly missed.

Carlea I came across this obituary by chance and immediately recognized this friendly face. I worked as a server at The Kensington where Mrs. Gudlaugson lived two years ago, which was often a tough and stressful job. Mrs. Gudlaugson made my job worthwhile. She was a wonderful woman who truly appreciated us as servers and showed an interest in us as people. She was extremely kind and had a wonderful sense of humour. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing; She truly was a beautiful person both inside and out. The world would be a better place if there were more people like her.
We are indeed saddened to learn of your mother’s passing. We first met your folks when I first started working at Weber Bros. Real Estate in 1964. Your mother and father were always so kind to us, and although we lost touch when they moved from Edmonton, we ofter think of them and the many good times we spent together. We also remember both David and Janet as little ones and trust all is well with you both. Our thoughts are with you at this time, and we will always have a special place for your folks in our hearts.
