Della was born on October 10, 1931 in Swan River, Manitoba and passed away on August 26, 2017 in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph, in 2010, she is survived by her sons, Laurence (Beverly) and Raymond (Laurie); daughter, Beverley (Lennox); grandchildren, Michael and Donna; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan.
The family moved from Swan River to Victoria in 1966. Della was a loving wife and mother and sacrificed so much for her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Della was laid to rest beside her husband, Joseph, at Hatley Memorial Gardens during a private graveside service.

To Della’s family,
I was sorry to see the passing of your mother. She was a great friend to me, and the person who helped me to keep my house clean for many years. I loved her forthright manner, commonsense comments and kindness. Actually, I think it was because of my dog Panda that she kept coming to my house for so many years! They loved each other. My partner, Chris, remembers coming home quietly one day, and hearing Della playing our piano – he enjoyed it for a while and then sneaked out again, and I don’t think she ever knew. Years after she had retired, she came and visited us at our new house, and was quite comfortable telling us that she preferred the other little house. I have to admit I agreed with her! I feel really privileged to have know her, and I am sorry for your loss.
