Victoria, BC

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diane, a loving mother and wife, devoted family member, and cherished friend. Born on June 3, 1945, in Grande Prairie, AB, she lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity.

Diane was the beloved wife to Sandy, mother to Sherri (Jeff), Wayne (Nadine), Steve and Mandy. She is also survived by her brother Wayne (Carol and his daughter Janet), her many grandchildren Justin (Clare), Ryan, Matt (Megan), Jordyn, Taiya, and her Great Grand Daughter Nora.

Diane has lived on Vancouver Island most of her life from one end to the other and side to side. Taking on many roles along the way. One of her biggest accomplishments was assuming ownership and responsibility for Victoria Industries.

Throughout her life, Diane was known for her fashion, style and beauty. Her love for cooking and entertaining with a Martha Stewart flair and a martini in her hand brought joy to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who remember her for her love and generosity and family first attitude.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff and Amica Jubilee house for the exceptional care Diane received with a special thank you to Patricia, Favia and Jonathan. The number of people who helped Diane along her journey with cancer are too many to mention, but thank you to all.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, V8Y 1B4, on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Women in Need or the Cancer agency of your choice in her honor.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

It was a great pleasure to have been able to work with Diane as a physiotherapist over the past three and a half years. Diane consistently proved her wit and insights in the conversations we had while working on improving her agility. One thing that consistently came to the forefront was the pride and love she had for her family right down to the newest addition, her great grand child.

I am very sure that she will be missed very much. My sincere condolences.

    Dear Sandy, Sherri and family,

Much love to all as we keep Diane in our thoughts and cherish her memory. That is how families endure in such times. Sadness gives way to remembrance, and remembering will add smiles to the coming days despite your tears. I only had a few opportunities to meet Diane. She was a force of nature.

    Thinking of you,
    Gay Hamilton
