Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. She would do anything for her grandchildren and loved going on vacations with them, including Big Valley Jamboree, Disneyland, Vancouver, Edmonton, etc.
She grew up in Victoria and loved most of her life here. In her later years she lived in cold lake AB, Campbell River, and Sooke. Dorothy was somewhat shy and quiet but her smile could light up a room.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with Amanda Tarling from the unitarian universalist congregation of Victoria officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Jeskin Aerie for the wonderful care she received while living there, as well as the amazing staff at The Heights at Mt. View, especially on the 3rd floor west. Both places not only treated Dorothy with dignity and respect, but became well loved by her family. A special thank you to Lesley Jacobson and Karen Lynn for all their love, support, and help with Dorothy in the last years of her life.

Sincere condolences to you Bonnie and your family. I never met your Mom but she sounds like a wonderful lady. We also share the same middle name so I know that we would have gotten along well. Lol

I loved your mom she was like a second Mom to me. Her sweet smile always did light up a room. I loved how she enjoyed the Christmas season. I remember your dad called her Dot. So many memories. I remember her being pregnant with David and the night she went to the hospital. I made a scarf for him it was probably a foot long half red half grey. I remember your dad telling me years later when they lived in Cold Lake when I was there that she still had it all these years. Your mom was a beautiful soul and will be dearly missed. May she rest in eternal peace and watch over all of you and give you strength as you navigate this time.
