Dorothy passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on February 6, 2012. Born in Prince Rupert on December 2, 1915, she moved to Victoria with her family as a young girl. Predeceased in 2004 by her husband, George, and in 2008 by her brother, Frank. Left with precious memories are her daughters, Lynda (Bob Gill) and Maureen (Wayne Carter); grandchildren Shannon (Don Arnold), Kevin (Lorilee), Angela (Michael Hawkshaw), Alison (Gary Flook) and Tracy (Brian Lemke) and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Gwen Smart and Margaret McKinnon, cousins, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10th at 11:00 am at the Royal Oak Burial Park with a reception immediately following at Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive.
