Died suddenly in his home in Victoria. Eddy was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec then later moved to Victoria as a teen. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Edward Bollen, Emma Elzidia Bollen (Gaulin) and his sister, Margaret Jean Powell (Bollen). Survived by his nephews, Roland Powell, Rodney Powell, Gordon Powell and Greg Powell. Eddy was very active in his neighbourhood and was well liked by his surrounding friends. You would always see Eddy around the neighbourhood walking his dog and chatting with friends. When the elderly people needed advice or needed an extra hand, Eddy was always there. Eddy also loved his dogs, his best friend and companion was Shani.
We are welcoming friends and family to pay their last respects on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at McCall’s Downtown, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Urn interment will be held at Royal Oak Burial Park, 4673 Falaise Drive in Victoria on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Darrell & Claire Wells Chance encounters with Ed during morning walks with our pooch Millie, was something I much looked forward to each day.
Not bumping into him and having chats over his front fence during these daily rituals, was disappointing.
When we did connect, Ed and I discussed topics at random on whatever worldly came up at the moment. And wow, we solved all associated problems in just a few minutes.
Described, discussed and done. And unlike the poltical arena, our sessions always ended with celebratory banter and appreciative laughter.
Ed was spirited and cheerful, enthused and positive. And he was smart – he knew a lot about things that I’d never even thought of. And what Ed didn’t know, he was darned curious about.
Ed, you brought a tremendous amount of joy into the lives of many people, and you provided caring support, help and encouragement to just as many.
We will miss you dear friend, but we won’t forget you and we will always remember you fondly.

I would like to give my condolences to the sudden lost of Eddy Bollen.
He was a good friend to my neigbour Linda Gaston. He was always chatting and joking and such a kind man. He will be missed.
