LOCKYER, Eleanor June (nee McLeod) passed away peacefully the 8th of January 2007 after succuming to cancer. Although she had a few long term illnesses, June enjoyed a full life with family and friends.
She was predeceased by husband Robert D. Lockyer in 2003; father Robert A. McLeod; mother Anna McLeod; brother Robert V. McLeod. Survived by her loving brother Forrest McLeod (Jeannie); sons David A. Lockyer, Ronald F. Lockyer (Tracy), Garry A. Lockyer (Cheryl), Daniel V. Lockyer (Sharon) and daughter Anna Jenkinson (Derek Avery); and 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
June enjoyed her community, especially Festivals, Plays and the Symphony. For many years June and Bob socialized as Legion Members and greatly appreciated the comradery and support. All June’s family and friends will miss her outgoing spirit and smile.
The family would like to thank the staff at John Alfred Manor, VIHA and VGH, 6C ward for all their care and attention over the past years and most recently. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Charity of choice
Funeral Service will be held at McCall Bros. Family Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver, Friday January 12, 2007 at 10:00 am with reception to follow in the Graham & Torrey McCall Family Centre
