Mrs. Bell was my kindergarten teacher at Margret Jenkins elementary school in 1957! She must have left a lasting impression as I still remember her and still have retained my class photo from that year!

When I joined the Monterey Seniors’ Centre Stamp Club, Peggy
    was a faithful member.
She generously shared stamps with me, and encouraged me with my collection.
As I am a retired teacher as well, she shared her experiences teaching oversea. I found these very interesting.
We Club members heard of her generosity sharing flowers & produce from her garden, and were the recpients as well.
Although we have never met, Peggy always spoke proudly of her nieces & nephews, and so I feel I know you a tiny bit.
    Sincere sympathy,
    BARBARA TARBET

I just noticed the notice of Peggy’s passing and Alex and I wanted to let you know we are thinking of you at this time. Peggy ,. Laura and Harriet were always very good to my husbands parents Emily and George Murdoch . When alex and I moved back into the family home I connected with Peggy again and always enjoyed anytime we had together. Peggy always had wisdom on any subject and I respected her judgement. I have some clippings in our garden form her garden that we shared . I will miss my trip to deliver the plums from our garden this summer. We will not be in town on Thursday for the memorial but our best regards and prayers at this time. Sincerely, Connie and Alex Murdoch
