1923 – 2011
Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28th, 2011. Predeceased by her husband, Alastair and her granddaughter, Nicole; Elizabeth (Betty) was born on May 1, 1923 in Victoria, BC. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Julie, Cathie (Tom) and Cynthi (Rob); her grandchildren, Sean (Susanne), Scott (Lisa), Elaina, Ava and Sienna and her great-grandchildren, Dylan, Reid, Marcus and Noah Thompson, John, Teagan, Devin Hill and Aislyn Welch. Mom spent most of her life in Victoria surrounded by the people she loved most, her family. Her greatest pleasure was the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always the last to leave a family party never wanting the fun to end. We all have wonderful memories of family holidays, picnics and Sunday night dinners at Grandma’s house.
You will only have one mother
Be patient, kind and true
No other friend in all the world
Will mean as much to you
For all her love and kindness
She asks nothing in return
If all the world deserted you
To your mother you can turn
For those who have a mother
Cherish her with care
For you will never know the heartache
Till you walk in and she’s not there.
She will be greatly missed by us all….
