Enid Davies died peacefully on December 20, 2012, at Glenwarren Lodge in Victoria, BC, at the age of 93 years. Enid has battled Alzheimer’s since 1997 and cancer since 2002. She was born June 1, 1919 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC. Enid was predeceased by her husband Lew Davies and her grandson Trevor Dagg. Survived by daughter Judith Sansom of Portland, OR; grandsons Steven Dagg (Lisa) and Jordon Dagg (Jodi); along with 4 great-grandchildren, Cole, Alynn (Jordon, Jodi), Avery and Hunter (Steven, Lisa), all of Victoria, BC.
“Mrs. Davies” owned and operated the Margaret Rose Dress shop on Commercial Dr. in Vancouver for over 25 years. She had many loyal customers who loved and admired her for her generosity and caring nature. Enid had many wonderful employees over the years but one in particular was with her for nearly all of the 25 years. Jo Hallet was not only an employee but good friend and confidante. Mrs. Davies will be greatly missed. She was always there with an ear to listen or shoulder to lean on in time of need. Enid loved to dance and laugh.
Private memorial will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a favourite charity. Condolences may be offered below.
