Born April 24, 1938, in Alta, Finnmark, Norway.
Passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024. Left to mourn her loss: her husband Ken Lee, her daughter Lisa (Tor-Henning), grandsons Karl-Erik and Steven; siblings Solfrid, Ruth, Henning (Torunn), Kirsti (John); many nieces and nephews and extended family in Norway.
Erna immigrated to Canada in 1955. She worked for over 20 years at B.C. Forest Products where she first met her loving partner of 40 years, Ken.
She was a fantastic cook and hostess, who will be remembered fondly for her lemon meringue pie and witty remarks. A long-time member of the Son’s of Norway Eidsvold Lodge, Erna was an avid weaver, embroiderer, knitter, and in her later life found her passion for walking in the Volksport (Pathfinders) walking club. She forged many strong friendships through these activities.
A celebration of life will be held on January 10, 2024, at 2:00pm, in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Valentina Karoway Our hearts are filled with a sadness in loosing our dear friend and hiking buddy. Your love of walking, strong drive and honest opinion of where we took a wrong turn, of every predicament or mishap we had you turned into a positive and we always had a good laugh, regardless! Memorable.
You may not be with us physically Erna, but we know you’ll be trying to keep us on the right path.
Rest in peace dear Amigo.Valentina and Donna

Jennifer Smith Erna was a major part of my family some years ago when I was a little girl. Her and her sister used to clean our house and they would always make up my “little girl” bedroom and make sure my room was clean and cute. I will always remember my Dad would walk in from work and yell “Erna must be here” as it always smelled like Pine Sol. To this day I use Pine Sol and always think of Erna. Erna came to my wedding back in 2001 and shortly after I moved away to Ontario so unfortunately we lost touch. I have thought of her often over the years as she was very much a part of the Eubank family for during my childhood and into part of my adult years. She will always be remembered. My sincere condolences to the family for your loss of such a wonderful lady. – Jennifer (Eubank) Smith.

Betty & Jim Hall Erna was a big personality in a small package, always active in life. She was a walker, golfer, skier, cyclist not to mention all her culinary skills and handwork. She will be missed by so many of us who have known her.
