
May 20, 1927 to December 3, 2011
It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Evelyn Rosienne Huot. Evelyn was born on May 20, 1927 in Debden, Saskatchewan to Wilfrid and Anne Marie Parent. Evelyn is predeceased by her loving husband Toby who passed away on her birthday on May 20, 1991 and whom she missed deeply every day. She is also predeceased by her siblings Robert, Bernard, Solange, Lucille, Louis, Leon, Albert and Dianne.
Evelyn and Toby were married in 1948 and in 1962 they moved their family from Debden, Saskatchewan to Victoria, BC.
Mom will be remembered and missed by her 9 children, Dennis, Raymond, Leonard, Donald, Lorraine, Clement, Norman, Rita and Lynn. Daughter-in-laws Sandra, Jean, Debbie, Cheryl, Jennifer and son-in-law Ed. She will also be missed by her 25 grandchildren Larianne, Sheila, Karin, James, Keith, Renee, Michelle, Kelly, Heather, Leah, Derek, Krista, Natasha, Shaun, Stephanie, Cheryl, Shane, Lynae, Greg, Laura, Leanne, Katherine, Jody, Amanda and Jordan and 17 great-grandchildren Jacob, Calvin, Keigan, Hailey, Laurie, Kayla, Hayden, Rutendo, Nathan, Liam, Malaya, Tinaye, Xavier, Keinan, Deric, Paige, and Emma.
Evelyn is also survived by 3 brothers Paul (Jane), Philip and Ronald (Dallas) and many nephews and nieces.
Thank you to the staff at Oak Bay Kiwanis Pavilion for taking such good care of our mother.
Visitation will be held at McCall Bros. Funeral Home, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. on Thursday, December 15, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish at 12:10 pm on Friday, December 16 with interment to follow at Hatley Memorial Gardens. A reception will take place thereafter at the family residence.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society Victoria, BC. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
