Lorraine passed away peacefully at her home in Sidney, B.C. on May 27, 2014, at the age of 88. Lorraine was born in Pilot Mound, Manitoba, on September 17, 1925. Predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur Cameron Thomson; sister, Phyllis Armstrong and brother Stan Flanagan. Lovingly remembered by her five children, Arch, Kathy, Susan, Barb, Cam and their spouses, brother-in-law, Sandy Armstrong, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lorraine had a full life, enjoyed teaching, poetry, travelling, reading, and keeping up to date on local and world events.
Lorraine was the proud matriarch and centre of her family, keeping all connected with each other.
A celebration of her life was held by her family.
The family requests donations to the B.C. Cancer Foundation, Vancouver Island office, in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

We were so blessed to have met Lorraine and spend some time with her when we visited Kathy, Fudd & family. She was a delight. I still have a special pie crust recipe of hers that she wrote out. She loved her family. May all those wonderful memories of her be a comfort.
