Florence Marie (McKenna) Walchuk

On October 7, 2010 our Mom, Gramma and wife passed away peacefully surrounded by love, Mercedes, Dad, myself and Father Frank who had given her the last rites. With her strong faith and special connection with God, she was guided by angels to meet her Lord in heaven. Her spirit and on-going love will be with us long after her broken human form.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at McCall Bros. Funeral Home, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Monday, October 11, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and preceding Mass on Tuesday, October 12th commencing at 1:00pm in the church.
Mom’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4040 Nelthorpe Street (Saanich) Victoria, B.C. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 2:00pm.
Immediately following Mass, all those attending are invited to join us for dinner at Fireside Grill, 4509 West Saanich Road, Victoria B.C. 250-479-1222
We have reserved a private room so that everyone can be together. www.firesidegrill.com
Mom is now at peace, and we will celebrate her life on October 12th here in B.C. and once again, in Brantford through a Memorial Mass upon our return.

It is with Deep Heartfelt Sorry that I write these words. There are not enough words that can explain the immense Loss that is Felt, especially by you all.

Flo was truly one of the most amazing women that one could ever meet. She was a genuine person and friend to all she met. She was full of encouragement, inspiration and caring. She was a very graceful person and full of wisdom. Flo’s smiles always lite up the room. I have so many fond memories of weddings, annniversaries, visits with Flo, Stan Karen and later Mercedes. There are so many wonderful memories and thoughts of Flo. I will forever cherish the last visit / dinner that we had with Flo and Stan at Maxine and Tom’s before they drove west.

I pray for God’s Blessings on Flo and May He be With You All as you morn Her Loss. God Be With You.

    With All Our Love,
    Patricia, Stan and Zachary Clapa

  7. Dear Stan, Karen and Mercedes:

We want to extend our thoughts and prayers to you at the loss of your dear mother. It certainly was a shock to learn of her fall. The last time Bob and I saw her was in Tarpon Springs, FL. We met them at Howard Park and had such an enjoyable afternoon by the water. I kept in touch with your mother via e-mails so I felt a closeness because of our connection.

Love and Blessings to all of you
    Mary and Bob
