It is with great sorrow we announce the passing on August 9, 2010, of a much loved husband, father and grandfather. Allan was a native of Victoria, born November 6, 1931 and was predeceased by father, Francis Nicholas Tregear, August 8, 1995 and by mother, Beatrice Ivy Victoria Tregear, January 1, 1996. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Eugenie; son, Neil (Denise) and daughter; Carolyn, as well as grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Aaron, Allison and Andrew. Allan enjoyed a lengthy career in research photography with Defence Research Establishment Pacific and during his employment had several interesting assignments, one of which took him to the high Arctic. Allan was a talented violinist and for many years was a member of the Victoria Symphony. Upon retirement he enjoyed playing music in small groups with family and friends. His loyalty and honesty was admired and he could always be counted on to be helpful when the need arose. Allan will indeed be truly missed. Our sincerest thanks to the dedicated staff at Central Care Home.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 18th at 2:30pm in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made at the charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
