  2. Helen and Debbie,

The news that Gary has passed away came as true shock and a deep sadness to us. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for Gary and the loved ones he’s left behind. I (Lilo) have had the privilege to be Gary and Jo-Anne’s wedding photographer, and as result, I came to know Gary a great deal. The memories I have about Gary are truly a terrific and compassionate human being who loved life, respected others and passionately loved his then girl friend Jo-Aanne. Gary will always be in our memories, Lilo (wedding photographer).

  4. Gary showed his courage and also his sense of humour even in Social Studies class
at St. Andrew’s. He will have a fond reunion with his father. May the peace of
God and the strength of your faith sustain each of the family in your grief journey.
I shall be thinking of Debbie and Helen and holding you in my thoughts and prayers
Sincerely, Gail Wallace ( former teacher at St Andrew’s)

  6. My heart is very heavy with the loss of your beautiful son who taught us all what courage and grace were.
He taught us what fun was as well and that is something we keep in our hearts forever.

  8. Deb and Scott, Joanne and Helen,

We are so saddened by the news of Gary’s passing. I remember our conversations at the rec centre with fondness; he was so positive, so vibrant, so determined…. so loved by his family.
Sending you all so much love during this very difficult time.

  9. My heart is heavy with sadness for us as you are no longer with us. You truly fought this disease with such strength, surgery after surgery, treatment after treatment. To say you were brave is an understatement, I am so proud of you Gary. I only wished we could have made you better and kept you with us. I know you could hear all of us around you the evening you passed, you found what little strength you had left in you to let us know that you knew we were there. Amanda and Kendyll are so sad, and confused, but they are both so glad you woke briefly and waved to them❤️, thank you.

I hope you have found dad and are in that place your dreams took you to while you slept in hospital. You told me you were dreaming of walking, and that you were no longer sick. It’s sounds beautiful, and for your sake I am glad you are free.

We will miss you more that we can say.

  10. Joanne and Helen,

    Kindest regards,
