Gary was such a fighter to the end. We send heartfelt condolences to sustain you through this difficult time. He is now at peace with his Dad and you are left to carry on that spirit of determination that Gary had. May God bless you all. Love, Nancy and Gord
Dear Helen and Deborah,
I am so shocked to learn of Gary’s death. On reading the tributes, I deduce that he has been very brave in the face of suffering and adversity. As we have lost contact for many years, my memories of him are as a wee child. Deborah, of course being a friend of Fionas, was often on a play date at our house. I had no idea that Jim left you this year. I am truly sorry you have had such a sorrowful time. I too believe they are reunited, and enjoying great peace. It is you (the family) Deborah and Gary’s who will be reeling from the void and pain. I cannot imagine what it feels like to lose a child, and I know it’s not the first!! From the wonderful tributes I have read, you must take some solace in the knowledge that so many people held your son in high regard and great affection and also share your grief. My daughters join me in sending our very very sincere condolences. God Bless. Denise Kilner.
We miss you everyday Gary. There’s a huge space where your laugh and comments used to fill the room. I miss everything having you as a friend meant. Thank you for being my “big brother” for 18 years. Thank you for being the best godfather my son could hope for. Thank you for fighting as hard as you did and for never giving up so that we got more time with you. We created fantastic memories. Thank you for sending us the perfect sign that you are watching over us now. We love you.

Dear Helen and Jo-Anne, I have been thinking about you and your family every day since I read that Gary had passed away. The thing I remember most about Gary’s battle was his positive outlook. He always seemed so cheerful and grateful every time I saw him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Today October 24 th would have been your birthday❤️. Your journey here is done, so where ever you are I hope you are celebrating this day as you are free. You haven’t had a birthday in 8 years where you haven’t been sick, so hope you enjoy this one. We miss you Gary especially today, wish we could be together.
Love Deb
Dear Helen and Joanne,
We are truly sorry to hear of your further loss. A child is never supposed to pass before his parent. This is indeed a shock and we pray for God’s mercy and grace at this time and the following year.
May His peace be with you knowing that Jim is comforting him.
God Bless you and the family,

I don’t know what to say to truly express my feelings. Gary was such a ball of energy and anyone who was touched by him will surely miss that spark and humour.
God speed.
Much love from Michael and family.
