He also enjoyed his camping trips with family his travels to England, Cuba, Mexico, cruises to Panama and Alaska. His most memorable was returning to Korea with his Fellow Vet’s. As George’s Dementia progressed he spent his final years in care at the Kiwanis Pavilion. Thanks to his many friends and the Vets for the visits during this time.

Special Thanks go out to Carol and Tess, and their staff at Super Services for Seniors for all their kindness and care in helping George remain in his home for as long as he did, and being there for him until the end. Thanks to the staff of the Kiwanis Pavilion and Dr. Ted. Rosenberg for the loving patient care they provided to enable George to enjoy his final years.

Sorry to hear of George’s passing. He was never too busy to have a neighbourly chat over an adult beverage. He was a great story teller and always seemed to have the just the right tool handy for any project.

  • Sharon & Vic Scott

Our condolences go to Helen West and family at this very sad time. We have many happy memories of George – both in Cobble Hill and at his home in Saanich. George was always smiling and his sense of humour was the best. He was always kind and thoughtful and loved to share a good joke. We will miss you George – may you find more people up in heaven to spoil. Salute!

George was a great man and friend. I will always cherish my memories of him. George’s sense of humour and love of music remained with him until the end.
I will miss him always but feel blessed to have been involved in the last 7 years of his life.
