After almost three years to the day of losing his beloved wife, Pat, Gary Crozier passed away peacefully on the morning of November 19th. As much as his family will miss him, it gives us all great comfort to know that he and Pat are now reunited and are together forevermore.
Gary was born on February 28, 1939 in Powell River, BC to John and Alice Crozier. The middle child between his siblings, Ted and Judy, the family soon relocated to Victoria in the 1940’s. It was in Victoria where Gary grew up, playing Hockey and Baseball and attending Sir James Douglas Elementary and Victoria High School.
Gary joined the Navy at 17 years old and served his country for 10 years. After multiple jobs he found his career at BC Hydro in the Gas department and spent the next 30 years ensuring the flow of energy throughout Victoria. Gary enjoyed many hobbies and activities throughout his life, but fishing and growing an amazing vegetable garden (the envy of the neighbourhood) took up most of his time. He retired in 1998, became a member at the Metchosin Golf course, and for the next 10 years he enjoyed his retirement chasing that elusive hole-in-one. More than anything, Gary loved to vacation with his wife Pat and for years they would take bus trips to Reno, gradually working their way up to trips to Las Vegas. Camping trips with the family to Qualicum Beach and Rock Bay were always a summer staple.
Gary was predeceased by his loving wife, Pat; parents, Alice and John Crozier; and sister, Judy Russell. Gary is survived by his children, Guy, Darrin (Vicky), Dale (Chiara) and Carrie (Dave); brother, Ted (Pat); grandchildren, Courtney (Andy), Alexandra, Krystina (Luke), Jaime (Alex), Brody (Sydney), Giuliana, Gabriel, Alison and Nate; and great grandchildren, Evan, Frankie, Faraley and Sarita.
Gary was a one-of-kind son, brother, husband, father, uncle, poppa and friend. He will be missed by so many but we feel peace in knowing he is once again with the love of his life, Pat.
A celebration will be held in the new year, for those wishing to attend please email candwilliams@shaw.ca for details. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Sharon Maundrell and family Our heart and thoughts are with your family. I have many fond memories camping with the Croziers and Mr. And Mrs. Crozier welcomed me always to their home like I was one of their own. (Which was a big feat given they already had 4 kids!) Mr. Crozier was always happy and smiling and he will be dearly missed. ❤️❤️❤️
