Hello Mary, Peter, Christina Mary, Teresa and Anthony
Maryse and I were saddened at the news of Gerry’s passing and were with you in spirit as the funeral ceremony took place today.
I have very pleasant memories of visiting your family in Edmonton over 40 years ago, the summer I travelled from Montreal to Vancouver by train. I felt warmly welcome and Gerry took great pleasure in showing me the sights. This is the thought I will keep of Gerry, that of a welcoming, good-natured man always ready to share a story or a joke.
Maryse and I offer our condolences and best wishes going forward.

Dear Mary, Peter, Christina, Teresa and Anthony,

I’m so very sorry for all of you and your families. Gerry was a very dear uncle from my first memories of him and all of you in St-Lambert to my visits to Victoria. His boundless love for you all, his wise and thoughtful advice on people, work and life, and his wonderful warmth, laugh and tremendous sense of humour will always be with me and help me always. I’m so very lucky to have been his niece, and I only wish you could be spared the pain of losing him.

With all my love and sympathy,

    Marie
