With grieving hearts, we sadly announce the passing of our well loved Giancarlo Chelini who immigrated to Canada from Italy in the 60’s. Always a brave face, a man that was so strong and courageous beyond words, who fought so hard to stay with us as long as he could, until the sad day March 18th, 2017 when his battle came to an end.
He will always be alive in our hearts. Until we meet again, we love and will miss you so much.
Left to mourn, his wife of 59 years, Loredana; daughters, Loretta (Mike), Denise (Mike), Debbie (Daryl); grandchildren, Sabrina, Daniella, Matteo, Francesca; brothers, Ivano (Luigina) Franco (Mara); sister, Lilliana; in-laws and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
A small private family funeral was held, therefore, no service to be announced.
We thank-you for your condolences.

my heart feels heavy, and there is no amount of time that will heal the heartbreak of when you left us. I know your happier, healthier and stronger than ever now, but it breaks my heart when I can’t hear your voice or see your face infornt of me. to one of the strongest people I’ve ever met, the best nonno to ever exist, and a man who touched many peoples hearts, you will forever be in our hearts, and you will be forever missed.
Mi Manchi Papa, It’s Fathers Day, and the more time passes, the more I miss you. Your sweet voice and face always flashes before my eyes. We have all tried with all our might to pick up the pieces and carry on, but I miss talking to you so much. I try to turn my grief into good memories and change my mindset to the promise that I will see you again… I love you so much!!!!!!!
Exactly one year ago today, March 18th 2017, this world lost a strong, caring and over all amazing man. It’s sad to know that he won’t be here to see our family grow up, or to see all the wonderful things coming, but I know that he is in a better place now with no pain. He made everything better for anyone, and his favourite time was when everyone was over and we were all laughing together, it’s sad to know I won’t see him for a while, but he knows we miss him and we know that he misses us. So Love you nonno, see you again some day❤️
