It is with great sadness that the family of Gilles Voyer announces his passing the morning of November 29, 2016. Gilles began his life in Montreal July 31, 1933.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, by his children, Simone, Adrien and Colette; his grandchildren, Seychelle, Rhys, Aleksander, Nikolaus, Jonathan, Bryce and Logan; his great-grandchildren, Gillian, Cooper and Ethan.
He met the love of his life, Elizabeth Voyer (nee. CrumEwing) on his first international posting in British Guiana. They were married April 18th, 1959. During their 58 years together, his career afforded them the opportunity to experience many countries and indulge their love of travel.
He began a lifetime career with the Royal Bank of Canada in 1949 and retired as an executive in 1987. Upon retirement, he took the position of CEO with ZCL Composites Inc. He continued to dedicate his time to a variety of service clubs and was a valued member of his church.
He will be remembered lovingly by his family and friends for his passion for golf, his competitive spirit, his charisma and class, and his charming smile.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Holy Cross Church, 4049 Gordon Head Road, Victoria, BC with a reception to follow in the Parish Centre.

Harvey Brooks Uplands Golf Club will not be quite the same without Gilles’ smiling face about the place…..may you rest in peace.
I am saddened to hear the news of Gilles’ passing. I will miss his hugs and gentle demeanour at Cedar Hill Rec Center.
