With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Gillian to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, 25th January 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

A Traditional Funeral Service will be held in The Church of Our Lord, 626 Blanshard Street (at Humboldt Street) in Victoria at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017, followed by Burial at Royal Oak Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Friends and family welcome.

Philip,John,Estelle,Alan,Donnie & Bennie,I am very sad to hear of your Mom’s passing, although she is finally at peace. We met at 12 and have always had an everlasting friendship. Your Mom and I have enjoyed many great times and in later years a few tears. She called me often to talk about her problems and of all of her children who she loved more than life itself. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this difficult time. Please contact me at a later time, as I would like to know about her last days.

“I offer your family my sincere condolence at the loss of Mrs. Aitken, may you receive peace from God during this difficult time. Meditating on the Hope in His Holy Word will comfort and strengthen you as you mourn, and will help you to look to the loving promises of our God who cannot lie.” Isaiah 33:24, John 6:40,
Please accept our deepest sympathies!

I will miss her dearly … we had a great relationship, as she reminded me of my own mother who passed away in 2009 … my love and condolences to the family… I am saddened further as I am unable to attend the service due to being half way around the world… but I am/will be there in spirit ….
