Gladys also leaves behind her sister-in-law Muriel Eaton; nephews Donald, Bruce and David Eaton and niece Brenda Kocherosski and their families.

thomas,gladys-younger womanBorn in Vancouver, BC during the second world war, she quit school to help the war effort by working as a riveter at Brisbane Aircraft and earned her pilots license in 1944. Later in life, she returned to school to get her diploma.

Gladys re-entered the work force when her daughters were all in school and had successful careers in both real estate and hotel management.

Gladys loved life, particularly enjoying flying and boating (she was a member of the Victoria Power Squadron). She loved to travel, visiting China, Italy and Central America, plus several cruises to Alaska.

She will be missed.
