December 08, 1926 – April 09, 2013

Glenn passed away peacefully having lived a full life. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Glenn attended U.B.C. He worked several years as an assistant purser on the Prince George, one of the original passenger and cargo ships that navigated the waters between Vancouver and Alaska.

A young teacher, Eileen Dallas, travelling to Juneau Alaska, changed Glenn’s sailing days forever, embarking them on 57 years of marriage. After a brief stint as a small business owner of a Bowling Lanes in Summerland BC, Glenn worked in several positions for municipal and federal governments throughout southern British Columbia before settling in the Greater Victoria Area. An enthusiastic golfer, Glenn was a member of the Prospect Lake Golf Club. He also enjoyed the many activities at Summergate community in Sidney, BC. In retirement, Glenn with Eileen enjoyed many golfing vacations with their friends. Glenn’s family was his greatest source of love and pride. Kind and supportive to the end, he will be forever in our hearts. Glenn will be lovingly missed by his wife, Eileen; his sons, Ron (Diana) and Doug (Marilyn); his grandchildren, Dana, Aaron, Amanda and Graeme and his great-grandchildren, Roman, Alyssa and Andrew.

Glenn’s family will be celebrating his life and would welcome his friends to join them on Saturday, April 27 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at Summergate Community Center, 2045 Summergate Blvd in Sidney, BC.  The family wish to thank Doctor Wray and all the caring staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Donations would be appreciated to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Auntie Eileen, Ron and Doug and families, we are so sorry to learn of Uncle Glenn’s passing. He was the last of the Fell family (that generation) and I have many special memories of whenhe and Auntie Eilleen were just married and used to come to Grandad’s house in Shaunessy.

Uncle Glenn was a kind, gentle and sensitive man (suprising since his older sisters were much more agressive!!) and my sister Maureen and I remember him taking time to play softball etc. with us. Uncle Glenn was fortunate to have such a loving relationship with Auntie Eileen and then have kids and grandkids (even great grand kids!!) We will cherish his memory and I know that he will live on in the family genes!!

    Love Rhodelle and Maureen
