With sadness, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Gordon Rands on June 22, 2026, at the age of 73.
Gordie was a dependable and strong presence in the lives of those who spent time with him.
He had a larger-than-life personality, with a no-fuss attitude. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, nieces & nephews, great nieces, and friends.
I’ll take care of my beautiful girls, Uncle Gord, just as you asked; you made our lives a lot easier too, and we will be forever thankful for you.
Rest easy UG, you’ve done good. We’ll make you proud and take it from here.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Gord was a wonderful person. I remember years ago at Uplands Golf Club , Gord and “Traf” playing early evening rounds, with little nieces and nephews hanging off the power cart. Pure joy!

Condolences to the Rands family. Gord and I worked together for 10 years at the Powell River Golf Club. He took time to teach me the art of groundskeeping. I have great memories of playing with him at the old “PowUp” tournaments. I am grateful for the time he spent with me. Alex Young
