It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Granville Robert (Bob) Fowler on May 26, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer in Victoria, BC.  Bob was born in Bradford, England on June 7, 1950.  He was predeceased by his parents, William and Florence Broughton.  Bob is survived by his wife, Jamie; his sons, Nathan and Joel (Kelly) and their mother, Beth McBrine and brother, David (Shirley).  Also surviving are stepchildren, Lee (Michelle), Andrew (Courtney) and Sarah (Nick) and grandchildren, Maya, Oz and Bentley.  Also sadly missing Bob will be his cross-country travelling companions, Charlie and Mylee.  Bob’s zest for life was contagious.  His love of family and friends was sincere and devoted.  He will be deeply missed.

At Bob’s request, there will not be a formal service.  Interment will follow with family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, Bob requested donations be made to local SPCA’s.  As a final request from Bob – “Regretfully Returned Imperfect”.  Condolences may be offered to the family below.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. We were good friends, many years ago and like so many childhood friends, we lost touch over the years. I have many fond memories of him, especially his beautiful smile, infectious laugh, his love of music, especially Bob Dylan (Positively Fourth Street) and his motor cycle. My condolences to his wife Jamie and family. Truly our loss and heaven’s gain. Rest in Peace my friend.

I was saddened to read of Bob’s passing. Although less than 2 weeks apart in age and both from Fredericton we only met when we both ended up in Moncton. We continued as friends even after Bob entered the same business as I remain in today. Unfortunately, after the move out west we lost touch. My condolences to Bob’s family.

It is very difficult to think of Bobby not being with us any longer! That infectious smile will always be remembered! Bobby, my brother, Robert, and sister, Margaret, were very good friends so Bobby was around often. Although I was slightly older Bobby was like a younger brother. I am glad that Bobby and his family got to visit Marysville as they awaited their move to Victoria. The memories will sustain all of us and especially the family as they adjust to this change in their lives. May God hold them in his loving arms! Blessings!

He was a lovely man who was full of kindness and humor right from his youthful days we spent together in Marysville,NB, the Crockett Street Gang, including 333 Lord Beaverbrook Squadron Air Cadets in Fredericton. So sorry to read of Bobby’s passing. He was one of the many Marysville Bobs that hung out in our teenage crowd. We all loved Bobby with his wide smile and red cheeks. I think of him regularly and always will when I use the crystal salad bowl he gave us as a wedding gift in 1969. Our condolences to his family and friends. Ruth and Bob
