  1. I have just been apprised of Guy’s passing…a flood of memories have been flowing through my mind as I grieve the loss of my old friend! Memories of repairing cars together, listening to Elton John songs…driving in his little Toyota that inevitably had mechanical issues on most trips…laughing together or talking about what we were to do with the rest of our lives…the university years together…much laughter and diligent studies…and then there was the love of his life…Holly Anne! He fell for her at first sight…I never saw such love …she was a vision to him, an angel…I was worried his passion for her wouldn’t be returned as vehemently…however Holly Anne saw in him what all his friends did…the depth of the young man and his sincere love of the people in his life!He never left her side!!! If all men were as stalwart, true and clear about life’s mission…this world would be a much better place…one of the biggest honours of my life was to be Mc at their wedding! My only regret is not having seen him much in past years! I’m sure he battled this disease with the same acceptance and level of class he always employed towards life’s endeavours! Goodbye my friend…see you soon in the next life…love, Stephen Charles

  5. Our heartfelt condolences to you, Hollyanne, Lauralynn and Tyler. We worked together for decades in our practice—he was kind and focused on the best care that he could provide. The people who worked with us in the practice were also our friends and unofficially adopted family. Guy’s heart and love for his family was always evident as was his huge smile and enthusiasm for life. We are lucky to have shared many chapters of life together with this wonderful soul.

  6. I worked for a number of years with Dr. Stewart at his optometric practice. He was a wonderful doctor and person. He made all of the staff feel like we were part of a family. He was kind, supportive and caring. All of the staff missed him when he retired early. My condolences to Holly Anne, Lauralyn and Tyler. I know your hearts must be broken at the loss of this remarkable man.

I have to tell you, Guy was always my favorite. He was the absolute kindest person and so easy to talk with. And so funny! That part always surprised me.
Of course, he will always be remembered in my mind with a tie tied around his head. His signature look at school LOL.
Today remembering Guy, I spent hours looking through my photo albums from school. So many included you and Guy. Boy we had fun.
Guy was a true gentleman and will be missed. Sending you love and hugs,
