Our condolences to the family of Harold Proctor on his passing. Harold was a new investment advisor in the Duncan office when my father passed away in the spring of 1970. We walked into his office and never regretted that day. Harold was our advisor for 30 years and the business relationship became more of a friendship. His sense of humour never failed him and his advice was always sound. No request was too much effort, and he was always interested in how mom was doing. She still speaks with regret that he retired and we often laugh about the day we met him – he is probably laughing today.

Just returned from a week up – island to hear the sad news of Harold’s passing. After 23 years servicing the sales and marketing of Arbutus Ridge, it has to be said that both Harold and Isobel were always one of my favourite couples, and it was a privelage to serve them. I seem to remember Harold enjoyed reading seafaring novels as I do myself, therefore the next C. S. Forester I pick up ( and all to follow ! ) will remind me over and over of this real gentleman. To the whole family, please accept my , and Sandy’s sincere condolences for this loss, he was one of the ” good guys ” of the world !!

I remember Mr. Proctor as one of my favorite teachers way back in 1967. He opened my mind to the world of economics in a meaningful way and we shared the common bond of both being born on the Isle of Man!
