
Howard died peacefully in his sleep on August 28, 2018 in Victoria BC after a prolonged fight with Alzheimer’s. He was born on August 30, 1925 in Victoria, BC.
Howard was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Marjorie, in 1991. He is survived by Irene Hall (his partner of 22 years), his four sons, Norman (Berna), David, Raymond (Debra) and Thomas (Lorraine), 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A World War II veteran, Howard married Marjorie Jones in 1951 and settled into the house he and his twin brother Fred build on Runnymede Avenue. They lived there until Fred and Howard ended their house building career by building their retirement homes in Qualicum in 1990. Howard returned to Victoria in 2010 to live in Berwick House until 2016 when he moved to the Veterans Memorial Lodge at Broadmead.
Howard will be interred in Royal Oak Burial Park on September 7, 2018 beside Marjorie. A Celebration of Life will follow at 771 Egret Close, Langford at 1:00 pm.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Broadmead Lodge for making Howard’s final years as pleasant as possible.

My deepest sympathy to you all. I met Howard in Berwick House, and I really enjoyed talking to him, especially when he was having a grumpy day. He was missed by us all when he moved to Broadmead Lodge, but not forgotten.
