Huberte (Berte) Dunsmuir, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2022 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband John, and is survived by one daughter, Lynne and numerous friends.
Huberte was born on September 7, 1931 in New Brunswick and moved to Victoria in the early 1960’s with her husband and daughter. She spent many happy years hiking and walking the beaches of Vancouver Island; her happiest times were when beachcombing or gardening.
Thank you to Dr. Wylie for his exceptional and compassionate care of Berte over the years, and most recently to the hospital physicians and staff of unit 4 northeast at the Royal Jubilee Hospital who ensured Berte’s dignity and comfort in her final days.
