Irene passed away peacefully in Ottawa. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Marilynn (Marty), grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott), Stephanie, Patrick (Lisa) and Cheryl; and great-grandson, Cort. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jake (1967). She will be remembered as a faithful soldier of the Salvation Army Victoria Citadel for many years. In 2008 she moved to Ottawa to be closer to her family and thoroughly enjoyed the many visits of grandchildren and great-grandson. A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army (4030 Douglas Street) on January 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army. Condolences may be offered below.

Remembering Mom so well – as of long ago. The days of Sunday School, Church, Home League, etc. Lots of activities and lots of fun with Chesalon – ooh, aging ourselves. Of course remembering Dad too and also you Marilyn along with your family.
