A Woman of Courage, Determination and Distinction
After a courageous battle with heart, stroke, kidney disease and diabetes, it is with great sadness that we say goodbye from beloved husband, Jake, loving children, Randy (Wendy), Maya and Janik (Kerry), nephew, Kevan and grandchildren Steven, Jeevan (Baljit), Alicia, Karina, Tyler and Ryan.
She is pre-deceased by her mother and father, Mehan Singh and Bhagwant Kaur Bains, brother Surgeet Singh, sister Sete Kaur and brother Harjit Singh. Deso is survived by her sister Gurdeep (Nim), brother Jack, sister Ricky and large extended family and friends. Deso’s inspiring determination will live on in those of us she has touched as we forever hold her in our hearts.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Meyer and the staff at Island View Place Care Home for their constant care and compassion.
The Memorial Service will be held at McCall Bros. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. This will be followed by prayers and a traditional lunch at the Sikh Temple, 1210 Topaz Ave. where you may offer your condolences.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Deso’s memory to the Vancouver Island Kidney Patient’s Association (VIKPA), The Diabetes Society of B.C., The Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. or charity of your choice.
