May 9, 1917 – May 19, 2013

Jim passed away peacefully on May 19, 2013 in Victoria. Born in Glasgow, Scotland he moved with his family to Canada at the age of three. He will be remembered with love by his wife, Beverly; his children, Donna (Bob), Ian and David (Cynthia); his granddaughters, Shannon and Kelly (Dale); his grandsons, Jordan, Drew, Scott (Tyler), Tim, Robert and Will; his step- granddaughter, Erin and his great-granddaughters, Claire and Haley. Jim was a kind and humble gentleman. He enjoyed family gatherings, golf with his buddies at Uplands Golf Club, visits to Willows Beach with Bev and over thirty years of Tuesday lunches with his son, David. He will be missed.

The family will hold a gathering to honour and celebrate Jim’s life at a later date. No flowers please. Donations in Jim’s memory, if desired, may be made to the Victoria Foundation or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

He never looked for praise

He was never one to boast

He just went about life quietly

It was his family that he loved the most.

who introduced me to the “ginty”.
