It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Reicker on Sunday, the 24th of May 2026.

Jenny was born on the 21st of February 1963, in Sydney, Australia. At a young age, her family moved back to Canada, where she resided in Victoria, BC, for the majority of her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Terrance; her children, Nicolas and Paige (Steven); her mother, Evelyn; brothers, Timothy (Deborah) and Matthew (Gayle); sisters, Diana (Stewart) and Sally (Robert); nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many more family and friends.

Jenny’s childhood was filled with many cherished memories. She looked back fondly on sailing and camping trips with her family. After graduating from Mount Douglas High School in 1981, Jenny met Terry during their time working at Sears. They went on to marry in 1984. In the early years of their marriage, while raising their family, Jenny worked as a hairdresser. In later years, she transitioned to a career in finance administration, working at various schools in the Greater Victoria area. While working full-time, Jenny attained her Business Administration Diploma from Camosun College in 2014. She retired in 2021, after many fulfilling years working in the community she loved.

Jenny was an adventurous and active spirit; enjoying horseback riding, running, camping, kayaking, and other outdoor activities. She was caring and compassionate, and a loyal friend. Her kindness also extended to the many animals she loved and cared for throughout her life. Jenny had a lifelong love of the arts. She could often be found quietly knitting, scrapbooking, journaling, or watercolour painting. She loved music, and was a passionate guitarist, performing in a guitar ensemble through the Victoria Conservatory of Music. The sound of her guitar throughout the house will be greatly missed. Above all, Jenny’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her loved ones.

Thank you to everyone who supported Jenny during her three-year battle against cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes you to donate to the charity of your choice.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Terry, Nick and Page, Sally, and Diana, and family, I am so very sorry to hear of Jenny’s passing and can’t imagine what you are going through. She was an amazing, caring, beautiful sole who I was so very lucky to have known. From working at Sears together, hanging out with the kids when they were little to our adventures at Big Bar to moving into your neighborhood – such great memories. My thoughts are with you all. Below is a poem that I thought you might find some comfort in.

    When tomorrow starts without me,
And I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes,
    Filled with tears for me,
As much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.
So when tomorrow starts without me,
    Don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I’m right here, in your heart

    Big huge hugs
    Maureen
