Joan was born in Burry Port, South Wales on November 2, 1926.

Predeceased by her loving husband, Jack, in 2006 and her son, Larry, in 2013.

Lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carol and son, John; grandchildren; David, Christopher and Jacqueline; great-grandchildren; Celyna, Neveah, Cynthia, Coral, Hudson, Jack, and Cooper; great-great grandchild; Andreas; numerous nieces and nephews; her cousin Pat Robinson and family in Scotland.

Joan had a passion for gardening, and was a member of the Kent Road Allotment Gardens for many years.  She loved to cook and entertain which led to her establishing Candlelight Catering in the 1980’s.

Special thanks to the staff of Saanich Peninsula Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and care.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Friday, March 7th, 2025 at 10:00 am with Reverend Joan Scandrett officiating.  A reception will follow at the Greater Victoria Horseshoe Club located at 620 Kenneth Street.

    I will miss you Joan, you were like a Sister to me. So many memories together over the years, still think about the time you came to Scotland, then we went back down to Wales were we were both born actually the same house. I still have that photo. From there to Paris, that was a fun holiday. You were so good to everyone. Sleep tight, love from Jeff , and all the family. xx
